Abstract

Financial education in Colombia faces significant challenges, evidenced by persistent economic inequality and lack of basic financial literacy, which affects its ability to make informed decisions. The arrival of COVID-19 intensified economic challenges, negatively impacting employment, international trade and poverty. Latin America and the Caribbean face a lost decade in terms of economic growth.
Given this scenario, it is crucial to evaluate financial education in the Savannah of Bogotá to understand the level of financial literacy of the population and their ability to face economic challenges, especially in the context of the pandemic, and to provide a preliminary view of the financial situation of the region, highlighting the importance of addressing financial education as a key tool for individual and collective economic resilience.
