Resumen (es)
Este artículo cuestiona el uso excesivo y acrítico de la empatía en proyectos de investigación creación aplicada con población vulnerable debido al riesgo de generar fatiga por distrés empático. Se cuestiona el uso inadecuado del término fatiga por compasión, pues se ha demostrado que la compasión no produce fatiga. En este contexto, se propone recurrir al concepto de amor compasivo, que ha tenido un interesante desarrollo conceptual tanto desde las neurociencias como desde el campo de las artes aplicadas al desarrollo del bienestar en poblaciones vulnerables. Este concepto, además, cuenta con novedosas herramientas psicométricas de evaluación que permiten determinar la efectividad de un proceso formativo en amor compasivo basado en las artes.

This article questions the excessive and uncritical use of
empathy in applied research-creation projects involving
vulnerable populations due to the risk of generating empathy distress fatigue. The inappropriate use of the term “compassion fatigue” is also questioned, as it has been shown that compassion does not cause fatigue. In this context, this article proposes turning to the concept of
compassionate love, which has had an interesting conceptual development both from the neurosciences and from the field of the arts applied to the development of
well-being in vulnerable populations. This concept also
has novel psychometric evaluation tools that can determine the effectiveness of a training process in compassionate love based on the arts

Este artigo questiona o uso excessivo e acrítico da empatia em projetos de pesquisa criativa aplicada com populações vulneráveis, devido ao risco de gerar fadiga de empatia. O uso inadequado do termo fadiga da compaixão é questionado, pois foi demonstrado que a compaixão não causa fadiga. Neste contexto, propõe-se recorrer ao conceito de amor compassivo, que teve um interessante desenvolvimento conceitual tanto das neurociências como do campo das artes aplicadas ao desenvolvimento do bem-estar em populações vulneráveis. Este conceito também possui novas ferramentas de avaliação psicométrica que nos permitem determinar a eficácia de um processo de treinamento em amor compassivo baseado nas artes.
