About the Journal

Scope and Focus

TECNOGESTIÓN is an academic journal published by the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas.

Peer Review Process

Considering the journal’s annual publication frequency, the Editorial Committee issues a yearly call for papers, typically around week 20 of each year (May). Manuscripts are accepted until the established deadline, provided they comply with all the requirements outlined in the submission checklist included in the editorial guidelines.

After submission, manuscripts undergo a double peer-review process involving two academic reviewers. The journal aims to progressively increase the participation of external reviewers in this process. Once the reviewers’ reports are received, the Editorial Committee makes decisions regarding publication priority, taking into account the balanced composition of the journal’s sections, the total available space, and the length of each accepted article.

In some cases, the Committee may accept manuscripts subject to revisions or suggest alternative structures or formats. All decisions are communicated in writing, providing feedback to the authors.

TECNOGESTIÓN is published on an annual basis.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate and free access to its content under the principle of making research freely available to the public, thereby fostering a greater global exchange of knowledge.

TECNOGESTIÓN is a specialized journal in public utilities and environmental studies, with particular recognition in areas such as drinking water and basic sanitation, electric power and alternative energy, telecommunications, and transportation. It is linked to research groups recognized and classified by MinCiencias and includes several MinCiencias-affiliated researchers within its editorial team
