Abstract

Hydraulic conductivity under the forest soil is a process that is related to the occurrence of sub-sur-face flows in the hydrological cycle, with different flows under each type of forest. It is study how this behavior is in each case, what differences there are between them and the water response of a basin. Hydraulic conductivity curves were found under mature forests of Cupressus lusitanica, Eucalytus globulus and natural forest in the San Cristobal river basin southeast of the city of Bogotá. The characte-rization the experimental areas were made and the hydraulic conductivity measurements were made. With the infiltration experimental curves, it obtain the infiltration characteristically curves. With these curves was calculate saturate hydraulic conductivity. It was established that these did not show significant differences in the saturate hydraulic conductivity.
