About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The journal publishes papers of Scientific and Technological Research (as classified by the National Index of Scientific and Technological Publications Publindex), which are characterized by original results of completed research projects, with distinct sections of introduction, methodology, results and conclusions. Other papers like the called of reflection, review, short articles or case reports are not accepted and will be rejected by the Editorial Committee without developing any assessment process.

Peer Review Process

The journal is arbitrated by a double-blind process, with continuous rotation of referees. The evaluation process of the papers submitted for publication contemplates a process of initial acceptance by the Editorial Committee, who verifies compliance with the editorial parameters, and evaluation by academic peers through a double blind process. The time taken to decide on the acceptance of a work never exceeds six (6) months from the date of receipt.

Publication Frequency

The Tekhnê journal has twice a year periodicity, coinciding with the academic semesters of the District University. The publication is made in June and December each year. Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that providing the public with free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Tekhnê journal does NOT charge for processing and/or publication of articles (APCs).

Journal History

Tekhnê Journal is published biannually, coinciding with the semesters of the Universidad Distrital. It is published in June and December. The first volume of the journal was published in the first semester of 2003, maintaining its regularity to date.
