El presente artículo hace un recuento del informe presentado ante la universidad para optar al título de tecnólogo electricista. Dicho informe esta basado en el resultado de una pasantía, realizada en una empresa dedicada al mantenimiento de transformadores. El propósito es plasmar los conocimientos y experiencias adquiridos durante el periodo de práctica para dar a conocer cuáles son los ensayos a transformadores, la importancia que implica cada uno y cuáles son las normas técnicas que la ejecución de los procedimientos.
