Este artículo describe, en forma genera, la implementación de un corrector activo para el mejoramiento del factor de potencia en cargas no lineales. El proyecto que involucra elementos y conceptos poco usados en el proyecto curricular de tecnología eléctrica, como los microcontroladores y la electrónica de potencia, busca generar una alternativa de solución diferente de los métodos pasivos convencionales, utilizados en cargas no lineales para la reducción de la distorsión armónica y el aumento del factor de potencia.
