A great technological advance has been achieving to know immediately values of critical industrial processes, regardless of distances or geographical factors where they are located; Such is the case of agriculture, a vital industry during this 2020 pandemic. Although much of the world was not prepared to face this “new reality” where distancing and remote communication prevail, many sectors had already been working with the premise of monitoring their behavior. This article presents a remote crop monitoring project, by means of IoT (Internet of Things) platforms at a workstation distant from the user, with automation devices that allow the display and adjustment of critical variables for the process. The information generated is sent through IoT protocols to a command station where the end user can monitor immediate changes in the development of the crop, and thus take actions to mitigate effects on the quality of the final product, obtaining a practical way to monitor changes in main variables, allowing better ways to control processes and their results.
