About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Tecnura is an institutional journal of the School of Technology at Francisco José de Caldas University. It is a scientific and technological publication that appears quarterly in March, June, September, and December. Its first issue was published in the second half of 1997.

It is aimed at professors, researchers, graduate students, and professionals interested in continuously updating their knowledge and keeping abreast of scientific and technological research focused on technological advancement and development within the field of engineering as applied to society and culture.

The journal’s mission is to disseminate research findings through scientific and technological research articles that must be original and unpublished, written in Spanish or English. We also publish systematic reviews (strictly evaluated by the editorial board) and, on an exceptional basis, select reflective articles.

Consequently, during the initial editorial review phase, short articles, case reports, and articles that do not align with the journal’s scope will be rejected.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides free, immediate access to its content based on the principle of making research freely available to the public, which promotes greater global knowledge exchange.

The total or partial reproduction of articles from this journal is authorized for academic or internal institutional use, provided the source and author are cited. Article Processing and Publication Costs

The journal Tecnura does not charge any fees for the submission, review, or publication of submitted articles.

Publication incurs no cost to authors or readers, as the Francisco José de Caldas District University covers all expenses related to editing, administration, and publication. Peer reviewers receive no financial compensation for their valuable contribution.
