Abstract (es)

El deporte paralímpico es un espacio donde se evidencia principalmente procesos de inclusión social, de derecho y de bienestar (Ríos M., 2011, p.28), siendo necesario el trabajo mancomunado de diferentes sectores que permitan promover y garantizar la participación de personas en condición de discapacidad. A raíz del interés por el deporte paralímpico, de la poca difusión e investigación que hay sobre el tema a nivel distrital y nacional, y como estudiantes de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de
Caldas de la ciudad de Bogotá, surge la presente investigación, la cual pretende identificar los factores que favorecen o impiden el proceso deportivo de los atletas paralímpicos en silla de ruedas de la ciudad de Bogotá en su paso hacia el alto rendimiento deportivo; este trabajo de investigación se realiza entre julio de 2020 y marzo de 2021.
