La reciente instalación de contenedores de basura en la ciudad de Bogotá, ha mejorado el problema de contaminación por basura en las calles, además de centralizar y tecnificar la recolección de basura, no obstante el uso de los mismos no se ha optimizado, el usuario debe realizar la apertura manual de estos contenedores, y sin mencionar el hecho de que en muchos puntos de la ciudad, estos contenedores están saturados de basura, la monitorización de nivel de llenado es una actividad dispendiosa, que debe realizarse de forma manual y que no se contempla actualmente. De esta manera, se plantea la monitorización de dichos contenedores usando sensores IoT que permitan conocer el estado de llenado de estos contenedores, además de facilitar al usuario la apertura del mismo, usando inteligencia artificial para que la apertura sea automática, y además de ello informando a un servidor al nivel de llenado de los mismos, de esta manera aseguramos que la recolección se realice de manera efectiva, reduciendo el desgaste humano en el proceso de recolección de basura.

The recent installation of garbage containers in the city of Bogotá has improved the problem of contamination by garbage in the streets, in addition to centralizing and technifying garbage collection, although the use of these has not been optimized, the user must opening these containers manually, and not to mention the fact that in many parts of the city, these containers are saturated with garbage, monitoring the level of filling is an expensive activity, which must be carried out manually and must not be currently contemplates. In this way, the monitoring of said containers is proposed using IoT sensors that allow knowing the filling status of these containers, in addition to facilitating the user to open them, using artificial intelligence so that the opening is automatic, and in addition to informing to a server at the level of their filling, in this way we ensure that the collection is carried out effectively, reducing human wear and tear in the garbage collection process.
