Rigoberto Castillo es Doctorado en Educación de University of Texas at Austin. Licenciado en Filología e Idiomas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Profesor e investigador en la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Becario Fulbright y miembro del Grupo de Investigación Formación de Educadores. Profesor invitado de la Universidad San Buenaventura y Universidad de Caldas. El Dr. Castillo recibió de la Asociación Colombiana de Profesores de Inglés (ASOCOPI) el premio nacional Claire de Silva por sus aportes a la profesión.
